Cancer Moon—Dedicated to Ruth Velasco

Cancer moon is the best place for the moon. It is a blessing to have a Cancer moon because the moon loves to be in Cancer. The moon is our deepest heart. Cancer is the sign of the home, mother, nurturing and children. As such, this moon is a warm and tender soul. That does not mean that this person is weak. Cancer is a cardinal sign which means it is one of the leadership signs of the Zodiac. It will get what it wants through the pure tensile strength of holding on and not giving up. Cancer will, usually, use her strength in defense and protection of loved ones. When loved ones need help, Cancer will fight for them with a vengeance she would not use when fighting for herself. Cancer moon will make a nest with her loved ones, friend and family. It may take some time to get in to the nest, as Cancer can be suspicious. However, once someone becomes part of the Cancer moon’s nest, that person will be treated like a prince. It is a special honor to be loved by a Cancer moon. If someone has a Sag Sun, as Ruth does, but has a Cancer moon, I think the moon will trump the sun and make the person a loyal and devoted partner rather than someone who goes from relationship to relationship, as a classic Sag. I think the moon comes in to direct play in love relationships. I think the moon, especially such a strong moon as Cancer, will trump the Sun in matters of fidelity and loyalty.
