I will start at the very basics, where we all have to start.Any and all questions are welcomed. I hope you will enjoy this journey with me as much as I enjoy having it with you.
1. Why the Heck Should I Believe the Bible?
The Bible proves itself to be Divine. The Bible proves itself to be written from the very being of God. The Bible proves itself to be like no other book . That is what this series will attempt to show.
2. How Do I Know What Will Happen in Modern Day Times?
I have told many New Age people events that would transpire. They hated me for it, rather than find out how and why I knew. I am no different from anyone . I was kicked out of these New Age discussions. I was a threat. I was like a stone in one’s shoe when one is trying to walk. I was a disturbance. Why? Because every man knows truth when he sees it. Every man will resonate with truth in his gut. These people would rather cast me off than face truth. That was their choice. Your choice is the same, dear reader.
Back to the question of how I will know what will happen in modern times. The Bible is full of accurate predictions. Many were made thousands of years ago. With God, there is no time. An easy prophecy is about Syria. It is easy because it is a single fulfillment prophecy. Some prophecies will happen twice. These are double fulfillment prophecies. However, we want to keep it simple, for now. Hence, I will tell you that Damascus , Syria will be reduced to rubble. You have heard that from me because the Bible predicts it and the Bible is NEVER wrong.
There are hundreds of similar prophecies that I could tell you about. The modern day countries are in the Bible. They were put there thousands of years ago. They are in the Old testament. We have Russia, Germany, China, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Israel etc. God has a plan for man and the world. One best be on the right side of it lol
I will leave the modern day predictions and go to the Old Testament and show you some of the classic prophecies. These brought me to Jesus. They are easy to understand. They are easy to digest. Only a blind man won’t see them. However, there are many blind men. The New Age movement is full of them. The New Age movement is not alone in this. It is just where I spend a great deal of my time.
3. The Easiest Prophecies to Understand
I have done this simple exercise with all sorts of people. I did it with an Orthodox rabbi, even. I have done it with all of my Jewish relatives. I have done it with New Age people. Every person answers in the same way. I ask them to write it down and they do. However, when I tell them WHERE it is from, the pull back and the blinders come over their eyes, again. This is the same thing that happens when I show people that Israel came by her small piece of land in a legitimate way. They agree but then they pull back and hate Jews as much as they ever did. Know this, an Israel hater is a Jew hater. They just like the way an Israel hater sounds. *Sigh* That is another story.
Back to my example of reading a chapter in the Bible to various people. If you were here, right now, I would do it to you. I would tell you to close your eyes and listen. Then, write down the NAME of the person of whom this Bible chapter is referring. You would write down the name that everyone does. Then, I would tell you that is was over 700 years before his birth. Then, you would get flustered and change the subject, if you are like most people.
In the modern Jewish Temple, they read the Old Testament but they SKIP this chapter.
Let me do this with you. I will put the chapter up here and YOU tell me who it is.
Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem
Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10Yet it was the Lord
