This is another powder keg question. The answer is yes, but maybe not in the way you expect. There were no Jews until God took a Gentile and made him a Jew. That was Abraham. He was told he would be the father of a great nation. Abraham was deeded his land, then, too. It is present day Israel PLUS more land, but that is for another article. For now, I want to explain how the Jews are special and how they are not. God made Abraham the father of the Jews. God gave the Jews great, great responsibility. The Law and the Messiah were to come though the Jewish people. God was supposed to be their King, but they wanted a human king and to be like other nations. The Jewish people, as a whole, did not listen to God,over and over. They suffered for their disobedience. One consequence was that God blinded their eyes. This was done as a consequence of their disobedience and also, so the Gentiles could come in to God’s family, as only Jews were allowed, in Old Testament times. Many Christians think God is done with the Jews. There is terrible hatred for Jews within the churches. However, God will never break His Promises to anyone. The Jews are no exception. Any words God says become Laws. If God speaks something, it will come to happen. He said,”I will bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee. This, still, stands, today. God said that the Jews were the apple of His eye. That still stands. He gave the Jewish people great blessings. One can see that by simply looking. However, they had greater responsibility to live up to these blessings and they failed, in many ways. Hence, many sad , sad things happened to them, my people .However, there was always a believing remnant, all through history from the first Jew to now. In this Age of Grace, the New Testament Age, there is a small remnant of Jewish people who believe in Gods Ways i.e. Jesus. There is one way to God, whether you are a Jew or a Gentile. That way is Jesus. In this Age, there is no Jew, no Gentile, no male and no female in God’s Eyes. There is only saved and lost.
