In the Near Death Experiences, there is one thing that is the same for all the NDEs which feature Hell. The person is alone. There is no interaction, at all, with other people. This makes me realize how much we value interaction. Even the toughest, most hardened person needs people. There have been studies on dogs who were not petted and died. You all know the story of the babies whose needs were met but they were never held or cuddled. They all died. I don’t know about you but I was told that needing people was weak. I was told many things of this nature— nutty things. Yet, they stay with me like invisible glue. I have to peel them off as if they are a foreign skin because they are. I need people. People give me a great deal of joy. I need to not need people to make me someone. I need to be someone on my own. I think that is the key.
