Ami’s Book Club——-Ripple by E.L Farris

I am reading this one by myself for now. I want everyone who wants to have a life changing experience to join in. I am proud to call El Farris a friend. She is an amazing, amazing author. If you have been molested, this book will speak to you. If you are human, this book will speak to you. I urge you to come on and take this journey with me. I just spoke to El and she will come up and talk to us, too. She has written several other books and we can read those later.

I just finished this. I won’t tell any details.

I want to say that I was totally amazed at how well this was written. It was as good as any of my favorite John Grisham novels. It is a page turner which never gets boring and never gets slow. It is a long book to keep up this pace. It is a wonderful story of true emotion, true relationships and the darkest and most joyful sides of life, as well as very, very nail biting. That is all I will say.

I am not really into Goodreads. I have just so many computer things I can do that I am not gonna do much with that site until the exalted day you make me your friend 😀

PS Of course, you are a librarian, so may not want to hang out with the plebes.

Hello, B. How are you today? What are you going to do this weekend? Do you have anything exciting planned? Do you know what my all time fave Valentine’s Day present was, B?

          1. amiannamiann Post author

Aww B, you are so cute. You kill me sometimes. I used to be super into Archie when I was young( not that I am old, now :/) but I liked Betty and Veronica better.

          2. amiannBiblea

Yeah I like Betty and Veronica better as well. Jughead comics would be best. They have an unlimited version for $7! Lol it’s a good deal
Well I used to read it when I was younger too. Archie got married now lol.
Btw how old are you ?

          3. amiannamiann Post author

Archie got married? To whom? I am young. That is the only answer you are gonna get but I do have the Asteroid Young conj my ASC, exact :/

          4. amiannamiann Post author

Yes, I do, B. Back to the subject, I think I liked Veronica better. She seemed more sophisticated and interesting. What about you, B? I dd not like Jughead at all.

          5. amiannBiblea

I think you look a bit like jug heads wife, A! She’s very pwetty!

Veronica is sophisticated but also very spoiled , A

            Maybe you like Reggie Mantle?

          6. amiannamiann Post author

No, I never liked Reggie and thanks for the compliment about Jugheads wife. Do you have a picture of her so I can prolong the compliment?

I cooked all day long. Want to hear what I made? The best guacamole, Broiled jalepenos. I almost forget about them and set the house on fire. A Cabbage steak thing I saw on FB. You cut cabbage like streak. I mixed tamari, red wine and all sorts of spices from my garden and let it bake.

I’m reading white tiger by aravind

        Saw it in the library
It read well in the first few pages so I took it home

        Let’s do it this way

Our book club is for 50 books this year. You can read anything you like but just list them to me n ill list mine to you

        Is it ok?

        1. amiannBiblea

Look right now I’m not able to buy books. Maybe in future I will get el ferries. Your wolf hall is not with you. Since you are reading ripple, let me read white tiger… To me, I just want to read as much as possible to widen my knowledge. Maybe for you there are differing purposes for reading.
I’m not able to read your book now.

          1. amiannamiann Post author

Ok Cool. We will read a different book now. Wolf Hall has not come yet. Do you want to read it when it comes? Can you reserve El Farris’ books. her second one is “I Run”

          2. amiannamiann Post author

I see. What about Francine Rivers? I just got the next book and I have it here. Does your library carry her? I would like to read all of hers actually.

          3. amiannamiann Post author

I have an idea that might work. I would like to read all the Francine Rivers. That one really uplifted me. How about you order what you can from your library? That way, you can reserve them and get them. Does that sound good or not? Maybe, you don’t like to read all of one person. I don’t care. I usually read all of one person once I find someone I like.

          4. amiannamiann Post author

I just got the 2nd Francine Rivers one, B. I want to read Wolf Hall first, though. I should have it soon and you will prolly be done with your current one and the same for me

          5. amiannamiann Post author

If you want to come back to the book club later, B dear, you are welcome to do it. Until then, I will do the Book Club myself and hopefully some other people will join in. Take care, B!

My cousin takes cactus pills he says it helps him
But I see him and it makes him look older
Gemini n their info aren’t always good :/

    Vd= venereal diseases? :/

    1. amiannamiann Post author

B I found a great tea–I think it is called Dragon’s Secret. I can check the exact name. It is like a kind of ginseng in terms of one of those ancient Oriental herbs.

    1. amiannamiann Post author

I will be done with Ripple tonight, B. Then, I can start the next Francine Rivers. Do you have yours yet? If not, I may read the second one from El Farris. Did you like the video, B?

    2. amiannamiann Post author

B on the Redeeming Love thread, I am gonna save our book lists and comments about the book and edit out our chatty comments. I know people who want to join and it will be too hard for them to go through all our little comments with each other.

    3. amiannamiann Post author

I am gonna read “I Run” by El Farris. She is amazing, B. She is so down to earth that you can’t believe she is such a genius. I never knew an author before. I put them so much on pedestals like gods. She is just like we are. I know that must sound silly but I admire writers so much that I idealized them as superhuman, I guess.

  3. amiannamiann Post author

    B
I have prolly one or two more days on Ripple. If Wolf Hall comes, I will start that. If not, I will do the Francine Rivers one that we decided on. Does that sound good?

  4. amiannamiann Post author

You know, B, anyone can be mean. Anyone can find a person’s soft spot and wield a knife. That may be a form of power. It is true. However, real power is in love.

    1. amiannBiblea

      Truth is Love.
If you cannot be true, you don’t love yourself, thus cannot love another.
You need personal integrity, first and foremost and this is which you lack.

How could you hope to have a good life without self esteem/love of self. Embrace your self truth.. and watch your world expand.. it is that simple.
God is also Truth.. so when you lie, you side the devil

      1. amiannBiblea

you cannot build a good life with being entrapped in your personal morass
if something doesnt work right, try soemthing else.. u are too stubbirn… too bad so sad…

        1. amiannBiblea

          Writers aren’t superhuman
They just have the perseverance to write a book
You can too so u can put your craziness into your characters n can be yourself.

On another note, I’m craving mcmuffins with oozing cheese and sausage patties 🙁 imma get some tmrw morng

I don’t know if you are interested in the Book Club anymore but I wanted to tell you what I am doing. I am going to read Heaven by Randy Alcorn because my son wants to give it to someone. I have Wolf Hall and the 2nd Francine Rivers here if you want to do them with me.

  6. amiannamiann Post author

You like to run the gamut from intellectual books to comics. Well, I started Heaven by Randy Alcorn. My son loved it and he does not have much of an attention span. The book changed him. He got really spirit filled. I need that so I hope it does it for me, too. I do need to take a pic of my garden, B. It is truly a work of art. I just added some trees—–Barbados Cherry, Miracle Fruit and some avocados that I planted from the actual avocado seed. Isn’t that interesting? I save the seeds from avocados and see if they grow.
Juggies wife. I will Google her :/
