Many woman are taught to be “nice”. Nice means not angry and not sexual. It means not powerful, too. I cannot remember getting really angry, not anger that rose up from your gut and consumed you. I held it down, for fear of it. Anger is part of being human. Jesus got angry. Anger is not a taboo emotion,but part of the arsenal of human emotions . We need anger, to defend ourselves when someone crosses our boundaries. If our anger is impotent, we set ourselves up for situations which will hurt us. Our anger was not meant to be impotent, banished to the attic as an unwelcome relative. Anger is harder for woman to incorporate , than it is for men. Vulnerability is harder for men.
