Chiron is more House dependent than sign dependent. As such, I will write about Chiron in the Houses. Please, comment, about your house placement, if you care to.
Chiron in the 1st house– This placement seems to indicate childhood bullying, in many, many cases. Chiron in the 1st house would be a outer manifestation of Chiron. It would be akin to wearing Chiron on your sleeve, for all the world to see. The Chiron wound could be physical such as a scar or deformity. It could be emotional such as emotional illness. Whatever it is, it is visible to others. As such, this is one of the hardest Chiron placements.
Chiron in the 2nd house–The 2nd house rules the material part of life and all that that entails such as a house in which to live and money with which to buy food and other needed items. The 2nd house rules the general feeling of security in life because you have what you need and you are not afraid you will lose it, at any moment. As such, if Chiron is here, you ARE afraid that your material security could be lost, at a moments notice. You carry this vague fear with you, at all times, even if you are living in the lap of luxury. The Chiron wound is internal. It does not heal if life circumstances change. It may be mitigated, but not healed completely, as is the nature of the myth.
Chiron in the 3rd house–The 3rd house rules communication. One must be able to communicate, with ease, if one is to thrive in this world. The 3rd house is general communication in speaking and writing rather than an intellectual communication of deep, philosophical and spiritual issues as is the domain of the 9th house. People with Chiron in the 3rd house may be afraid to speak. They may have been demeaned when they tried to speak. They may have been in a situation where they were “shouting” their truth with no one to hear, to understand what they were saying. They may have been the “voiceless”. I have seen this manifestation of Chiron in the 3rd.
Chiron in the 4th house–the 4th house rules early childhood. As such, Chiron, here, would indicate a painful childhood. This is one of the harder Chiron placements, as our childhood shapes us as water is shaped by a container. We may carry deep pain, all or lives, from situations inflicted on us, as children. I think this would be the case, as the Chiron wound does not heal. However, this placement may have a unique ability to help abused and neglected children. This placement may be a foster parent or just someone to whom children can unburden themselves.
Chiron in the 5th house–the 5th house rules play, creativity, self expression of one’s basic identity, short romances, fun and one’s sense of humor. Chiron, here, may make a person afraid to risk self expression. Creativity may be hard, as one feels insecure to step out and be seen. This house rules the child who dances and sings with the joy of simply being, as children will do. This sign rules the person who will get in to the center of the room , with a lampshade on his head, in the middle of a party. With Chiron, here, one may be found in the corner. One may desire to shout his special song to the world, but shrinks back. As such, this person has a unique understanding that may help others who find themselves in the same position. This Chiron may be a music teacher, but not a performer. This placement may be an acting coach, but not an actor. This Chiron may watch on the sidelines, but encourage others to shine. That would embody the nature of the usage of the Chiron wound.
Chiron in the 6th house–The 6th house rules work of a practical service nature. It, also, rules health. Chiron in the 6th may be a person who desires to serve others, but never seems to find satisfaction. Perhaps, their choice of work is a continual source of pain.Perhaps, they work in a field which does not suit them, which drains their life energy, but they are stuck. Perhaps health issues plague them. One friend with Chiron in the 6th, had two children with a rare genetic disorder of which he and his wife were unaware. He and she were, both, called upon to donate organs to their child. This placement is one of the harder ones.
Chiron in the 7th house–the 7th house rules marriage and committed partnerships of a long term nature. The 7th house involves all things that one desires in marriage such as loyalty, devotion, fidelity and life partnership. As such, this Chiron may never have the pleasures of this kind of union. If this Chiron does get married, his partner may betray him or likewise break his heart and destroy his dreams. This Chiron may be called upon to help other couples as a marriage counselor or a pastor while he bears the wound with which he heals others.
Chiron in the 8th house–the 8th house rules all taboo subjects. If you cannot talk about it at a cocktail party, the 8th house rules it. This includes the deepest passions of the human, both emotional and sexual. The 8th house is the one must call forward when one is in therapy. It rules the id, the part of us which will control us, if we try to push it in to the attic. As such, Chiron in the 8th may not be able to face these parts of himself and may suffer physical and emotional illness, as a result. On the other hand, he may be plagued by passions running wild such that he cannot stop them. He may have addictions and obsessions which he cannot control, but may be called upon to help others as an addiction counselor or a therapist.
Chiron in the 9th–the 9th house rules higher thought. It is opposite the 3rd house which rules chatty communication. The 9th rules intellectual communication. It rules higher education, while the 3rd house rules elementary education. The 9th house rules spiritual bodies of thought. The 9th house asks the most yearning questions of the human such as “Why am I here?” When a person has a full 9th house, the person is a seeker after Life Truths. On the other hand, when Chiron is here, a person may never find these answers, although they may search incessantly. The 9th house Chiron may be a religion professor or a pastor who guides others to the very answers which elude him.
Chiron in the 10th–the 10th house rules career and society. It is opposite the 4th house which rules early childhood. One must leave childhood and the 4th house and learn to make one’s way in the 10th house arena. The 10th house rules one’s reputation. It rules one’s general acceptance or lack of it, in society. As such, Chiron, here, may make one feel cast out from others. Perhaps, one does not have the social status one so, fervently, desires.Perhaps, one was poor as a child and feels one can never fit in with a “higher” level of social peers. Perhaps, one makes a stupid mistake and loses one’s reputaion. Perhaps, one’s career never takes off even though one tries, mightily. This Chiron may help others succeed and realize their social dreams,as one stands in the baclground. Perhaps, one is a worker behind the scenes for a person who sits in the limelight, effortlessly, as one watches.
Chiron in the 11th–the 11th house rules groups, hopes and dreams and global giving, such as in charity. The 11th house is a forward thinking house ruled by Aquarius. A person with a full 11th house wants to help others who are far away such as by doing work in the Peace Corps or Doctors without Borders. The strongly 11th house person has a passion to make a difference to those who are far from his own sphere of life. It seems to be a deep seated passion, as in my friend Rod from Chile. Hopes and dreams are ruled by this house, too, as in the hopes of a child, before children learn that hope is often, fruitless. As such, a person with an 11th house Chiron may find that his dreams are out of reach and he must settle for mediocrity instead of his aspirations. Perhaps, he will mentor someone who does go to faraway places and perform wonderful deeds, as he sits behind, as a support structure.
Chiron in the 12th house—the 12th house is the hardest house placement, bar none. This will, always, be the case, no matter which planet. The 12th house is the door to the next dimension. The next dimension is that of psychic phenomena, creativity and mystical experience. It,also, rules drugs and addictions, as these take us out of the real world, albeit in a harmful way. As such, the person with a 12th house Chiron may find it hard to live on the earth. He may want to escape the earth’s hardships through addictions. He may fight addictions but never seem to overcome. He may be ultra sensitive in the Micheal Jackson vein. The earth may take its toll on him.People who have been through great trouble have great depth, not found in those who have not. As such, this Chiron may comfort those who the rest of the world has pushed to the sidelines such as the handicapped person or the prisoner.
thanks! my Chiron in Gemini (23
Ok–Before we talk 12th House, lets see if the Chiron is further than 10 degrees from your ASC.If not, we count it conj the ASC and NOT 12th House.
With Chiron, it is much more House dependent than sign dependent. In fact, I barely look at the Chiron sign.
have chiron in 12th house cancer..
Hi Flo
How close is Chiron to your ASC. if it is within 10 degrees, it is counted as first house. If so, this can be a lot of bullying. If it is 12th house, it is a great deal of pain which is hidden from you, so very hard.
12 house chiron in taurus and vesta in taurus and mercury in taurus?
Jerald, I would have to see how close Chiron was to your ASC. Come on my Forum and post your chart in my Personal Readings and we can look at it. It is free, of course!
I have chiron in my 4th house.
with moon and south node in pisces sign.
its vulnerable position to be
a bad childhood wound which will never heal, distant relationship with mother
emotional turbulence
and i have a mars+saturn combination
does it look suicidal.
Oh dear. I could not say something looks suicidal lol. I have Chiron in the 4th, so I hope not! Everyone has a Chiron someplace. The worst place is conjunct the ASC imo
Can I simply say what a comfort to discover someone who really
understands what they’re talking about over the internet. You actually know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people have to check this out and understand this side of your story. It’s surprising you’re not more popular given that you definitely have the gift.
Thank you Sherrie. I am so very touched by your words. I try to do the kind of practical, straight forward astrology that I would like to read. I am so glad you could see that in my articles! Please come on my Forum and put up your chart and I will be happy to take a look!
I was recommended this website by way of my cousin. I am not
positive whether or not this put up is written through
him as nobody else understand such certain about my problem.
You’re amazing! Thanks!
Thank you, Friend. Glad to have you here!!
