Certain Chiron placements seem to be harder. Chiron conjunct the Ascendent seems to be the worse. We are social creatures. We want to belong and need to belong, really. Chiron conjunct the Ascendent is severe bullying. I have never seen a case where this was not true. The pain of bullying is one of the worst. However, any Chiron placement seems to leave lifetime pain, in that sphere of the chart. I have many articles on what each house signifies. each house is very specific, as to which part of life it rules. Astrology is very logical. The Astrological chart goes from the womb to death. It follows each stage of life, in order. Chiron will be in one of the houses, obviously. That house will be one’s hardest domain in life. Astrologers disagree with me on whether the Chiron wound can be healed. I say no. Many say yes. The myth of Chiron says no. I try to stick true to the myths, not sanitize them for popular consumption.
Beyond the house, one would look at aspects to Chiron. Trines would be one level of pain and squares would be another. Squares to Chiron are, particularly painful. Chiron conjunct any angle will be very painful because the angles are our four markers for life. The ASC is one’s face to the world. The IC is one’s childhood and current home. The DSC is one’s partner. The MC is one’s public face and career. You can imagine if Chiron was conjunct one of these. Then, we have the added situation that if Chiron is conjunct an angle, it is opposite another, so both angles are effected.
My current thought about why we have Chiron, at all, is to bring us to God. If we had no pain, we would go about our merry way, doing our own thing. When one has lost all earthly supports, one is more likely to look to God. Humans want to do things their own way. I think that sort of pride is inherent in every human being. Pain will break self sufficiency quicker and better than anything. Hence, I think Chiron pulls us to God. That is my opinion of why it is there.
Someone’s name is oposite my chiron 0 deg and moon 4 deg, trines my Sun 1 deg, conjunct Uranus 4 deg, inconjunct Venus 1 deg.
Wow that is a lot and very different aspects. I am not sure what all that would add up to, Jane.
