I will, humbly, take a stab at the Unaspected Mercury. I have talked to several people who have one.It is hard for me to conceptualize, as God has given me an easy Mercury, which is exalted in Gemini and has a trine to Neptune and a sextile to Pluto. The Unaspected Planet is a gift, always. However, it is a double edged sword, in that it is buried treasure. As with literal buried treasure, it does no good if it stays there. People with an unaspected Mercury seem to struggle with out of control thoughts. It seems as if their thoughts and their feelings do not coordinate well. Perhaps, they think when they should feel and vice-versa. At any rate, thinking is not easy. Communicating is not easy. However, they feel propelled to forge on. In this process, they are destined to be great thinkers and communicators.Remember, the lowly lump of coal which becomes the most precious of gems. The Unaspected Mercury may become a great writer, comedic artist or public speaker after he has made his Mercury, his own.

Very helpful, thanks. The closest major aspect to my Mercury is an opposition to Neptune with an orb of close to 8 degrees. Would you consider this to be a major aspect? I also have an interesting midpoint configuration with Mercury involved. My Saturn/Neptune conjunction is less than 1/2 degree from exact. Venus and Mercury are almost 15 degrees apart. The midpoint of Saturn/Neptune (Libra 22 degrees) is closely opposed to the midpoint of Venus/Mercury (Aries 22 degrees 28 minutes). Do you feel that this pattern shows a connection to my Mercury that is lacking otherwise? I also have a near exact Mercury/Jupiter semisextile.
Hi David/ The 8 degree Neptune opposition would be a borderline thing in terms of Unaspected planets. I would say that it WAS Unaspected, myself. Come and join my Forum. You can talk about this and anything else you would like. It is free, of course! I have not done much with midpoints. They have not drawn my interest, so I really cannot comment about them. I seem to have certain areas which really draw me, such as Unaspected planets and some others like 12th house planets and the Angles. Hope to see you on the forum 😀
As far as the semisextile, that can be mined through effort. When you pay attention to drawing it out, you can have quite a beautiful aspect, on your hands, but you must dig deeply for it.

My daughter has this…she’s had to repeat kindergarten, was in speech therapy til 6th grade, was told she has dyslexia and she has an iep for school. I was told she reads @ a 5th grade level despite starting highschool this coming school year. Yet there are moments she has surprised me with her perceptions & others, too. Her mercury is in capricorn in the 3rd house. I get so frustrated and worry about her and her future…I’m interested in any more information you may have on this…thank you!

I will say that the Unaspected Mercury does not seem to be linked to learning problems. That may be a 3rd house with Saturn and/or Chiron or other things emanating from the 3rd House. I would like to look at the chart and then try to answer your question. Do you have her correct birth time?
