We all need to feel special. We all need to feel that we matter. We all need to feel that we have something to offer. This is a human need. It is not weakness. It is part of out human make-up. We will search for a feeling that we matter in one way or another. How we do it will make a huge difference in our life. People can get a sense of significance by being “bad”. This can be being rebellious. This is fine if the rebellion does not hurt you. If it does, it is counterproductive to where you want to go. Find something you love and do well. Bring it to people.Take in their praise, as you need it. You are human. Take in the good feelings of making a difference to people and being needed. This is good. God made man to need other men. God made us to need closeness and connection. Don’t think it is weak to be this way. It is human. Find your gift. You have one.

But what happens if you don’t have a gift? I’ve been praying my whole life to find my giftings and as of yet, nothing. Or if I have them I certainly don’t know how to access them to share them with others and receive praise for them. What then?
Hi Kristen 🙂 First of all, let me assure you that you do have one==100%. God promises us gifts. No one is the exception to this rule–No One. God’s Promises are what holds the world together and so each promise will come to be, always. However, we do have our part to play in it which can be the tricky part. God demands faith of us for us to mine any of His promises. In this case, with gifts, I will tell you my experience. The gift lies WITHIN your passion. Your passion is your compass, pure and simple. What would you love to do, if money, education etc were no object. Think about it and write me back! xxx
That passion thing is a problem. I have too much passion! I have so many interests, that range all over the place. Everything from medicine and pharmacology to astrology, nature, photography…I think if money were no object I would a multiple things. I’d do one thing for a while, then change. My problem has always been finding that niche where I can really express myself and really grow as a person. I love being creative and make different kinds of artistic things, but the money keeps me from doing everything I want to do. And I am also torn by the feeling that I should do something “practical” otherwise I feel like I am wasting the life God gave me. I have spent my whole life, literally, praying for a direction, for the knowledge and gifts He promises, and I’ve never really gotten an answer. I still don’t know what I’m supposed to do, but I don’t worry about it as much as I used too. But I really do want to know what my gifts are.
I hear you, Kristen. I guess that what happened, in my case, was that I had a horrible tragedy and many, many paradigms dropped and I was like a naked baby. Everything failed me, so I would go any place, almost. That was how my psychic gifts and even, astrology, were born.
