Can’t touch one’s primal passions? You may have Chiron in the 8th House. My teacher is, always, the charts. Being an Astrologer is like being an intrepid explorer. One cannot rely, solely, on those who have gone before. One must forge new territory. Hence, I bring up the issue of Chiron in the 8th house, in relationship to one not being able to touch one’s deepest core of emotions and passions. Chiron is a super powerful planet. We, all, have one and it effects all of us, albeit in different ways. Chiron is much harder in certain positions. Chiron touching the ASC is one of the hardest positions. When something touches the ASC, you can’t hide it. I think people get bullied with this position because other people lash out to wound, when THEY see pain. Chickens will peck a bloody chicken to death. That is food for thought.
Chiron in the 8th House has a different dilemma. The 8th house is the house of soul mate passions. It would be Sigmund Freud’s house because it is the house of all that lies below the surface. If you can’t talk about it at a cocktail party, the 8th House rules it. Hence, the 8th House rules all taboo subjects: emotional, sexual and societal. Great literature and great music deal with taboo subjects. One must embrace one’s taboos or one is, always, wandering in a no man’s land.
Chiron in the 8th house puts a kind of fire of pain on one’s taboos. One may feel as if one is alone in being this ‘bad” or this “sexual”. One is not alone. One just thinks one is. Hence, the job of a Chiron in the 8th House is to break that isolation. It will not be easy, or complete, as Chiron is never completely healed. However, one can make serious inroads and the result will be the ability to help others with the same dilemma. Chiron promises this, in his myth. I hold true to the myths. Other Astrologers like to sanitize them, so everything turns out rosy and pure. That is not life to me. In fact, THAT is what produces the problem in the first place. This hold doubly true for a Chiron in the 8th House native.
I have this placement and this rings true for me…so..how do we get past this? How DO we touch our primal passions when we have this placement?

I know ways that will not work, in my experience. Talk therapy will not work. Pain is stored in the right side of the brain, not the left. The left side is the intellect. The right side is the feelings. One must find some way to let those feelings out. Google Right brain trauma theory and see what you think.
